Home Health Uses for Saljet®
 Saljet® is the perfect solution for the home health setting. It is easy to use and a home health nurse can leave Saljet® vials with the patient if there is a need for a dressing change before the next visit.
Because Saljet® is a licensed device and not a medicine, it can be used for dressing changes where there is a standard order from a physician to use saline in the dressing change procedure. Plus, Saljet® is easy to use, with a simple twist of the top and firm squeeze to deliver a steady stream of sterile saline at 4-8psi.
If desired, the Saljet® vial can be held by the patient while the home health nurse prepares for a dressing change, allowing the saline to warm to body temperature. They can also be placed in a cup of warm water before opening to help warm the saline, avoiding the risk of slowing down the healing process by using cold saline.
Saljet® is a single use vial of sterile saline, it cannot be recapped thereby giving best practice in patient care. |
