Military Uses for Saljet®
Saljet® is a unit dose, plastic vial of 30ml sterile saline. It is normal saline with no preservatives or surfactants.
Saljet® was designed for use in wound care and gives a steady stream of saline with a pressure of between 4 to 6 psi.
Saljet® is easy to use, just twist off the top and squeeze to obtain a steady stream of saline or squeeze more gently to obtain drop by drop.
Saljet® is small and lightweight, only an ounce per vial, making it ideal when space and weight is at a premium, e.g. in a combat pack, field hospital, boats, planes, helicopters, etc.
Saljet® is designed to care for the healing wound during dressing changes and because it is easy to use it can be used by persons in the field to clean up small cuts and grazes, to wash grit and sand out of eyes, etc. |
