Primary Care Uses for Saljet®
 Saljet® is a 30ml single use plastic vial of sterile saline. It delivers a steady stream of saline at 4-8psi.
Saljet® is easy to use, just twist off the top and direct at the required site. A firm squeeze delivers the pressure needed to cleanse a healing wound during dressing changes.
Saljet® is a single use vial of sterile saline, it cannot be recapped therefore giving best practice in patient care.
Saljet® saves on ancillary equipment needed when using a large volume container of saline, thereby saving nursing time, wastage and money.
If desired, a Saljet® vial can be given to the patient to hold whilst the nurse prepares for a dressing change, this will warm the saline to body heat thereby avoiding the risk of slowing down the healing process by using cold saline.
Saljet® is unit dose so that when the dressing change has been performed there is no previously opened bottle of saline to deal with, and you are assured that the saline used in every procedure is sterile. |
